Ready or Not

Did you know that when a baby is born it could have a deformed head, a rash, self-inflicted scratches, puffy eyes, blue-colored extremities, dry skin that will “shed like a snake,” hormone-inflated breasts, and could be covered by a cream cheese coating that won’t come off in the wash?Um, yeah. We learned all that last night in our first Baby Care class. Basically they want you to know that when your baby doesn’t come out looking like she was on her way to a Baby Gap photo-shoot, it’s “all perfectly normal.”Tomorrow is the Child Birth and Labor class. We were told to bring two pillows, a yoga mat, snacks and wear pants.(p.s., I'm not sure why I appear to only have one ear.)
