Off We Go!

We are off on our first international expedition as a family of four. Excitement and anticipation has been high for the past several months. Brussels (possibly with a side trip to Bruges or Ghent), Paris (with side trips to Versailles and Rouen), Barcelona, and Amsterdam.

The first travel day has started promising. Wake up call at 2:00am, out the door by 2:47am (13 minutes ahead of schedule), and through security by 4:09am.

Now the grind of the day as we patiently wait during a seven hour layover in SLC and then a 20-hour flight to AMS. From there it is a 2-1/2 hour train ride into Brussels.
