Kindergarten: Check.

I'm not sure how to assess this milestone. I know these early years are crucial in developing her love of and success in school, but beats me what constitutes a "good" year. She has started to read and write, so that's fun and exciting.Perhaps I cannot breakdown her progress into specific items or categories like her "report card" has (the gist of which says she's excellent in every way), but what I can say is that I have great confidence that is well-prepared for the intellectual and social challenges of our next life stage. She is super-excited about starting first grade. She'll be attending Sequoia Elementary, just down the street from our house. It'll definitely be an adjustment in terms of class and school size, and she's still a bit on the shy side, but she's much more extroverted and confident in herself than just a year ago. Her summer school program (the 4th "R") that is attached to her new school has a fabulous summer program–and NO naps!–so I'll be writing more about that later. In the meantime, enjoy a few pics from her graduation ceremony below.First grade, here we come!
