Fall Update
Has it really been two months since I last took the time to “share the bear”? Well, things have been cra-zee around here so let me try to quickly bring you up to date.As you may recall from a previous post, Lola, Momma and I moved back to Sacramento at the end of August and have spent the last two months adjusting to some dramatic life changes. Julie started work a few weeks ago (she is the Marketing and Communications Director for the Girl Scouts of Central California...yes, she’s impressive) and Lola started day care again at the same time. Her school is just a few blocks from Julie’s office and so far every one is loving it.We’ve settled back into a bit of a routine. Wake-up around 600am, out the door by 700am, back home by around 600pm. We hang out, we read, eat some dinner, a bath (on Tues., Thurs., and Sun.), Rinse, Repeat. She has her 15 month appointment with her new Sacramento doctor next Thursday. She’s stopped nursing entirely but has not yet taken up the cow’s milk habit. Her verbal and sign vocabulary continues to grow. She’s got all the barnyard animals down pretty well, and is working on “moooo” and “wooof.” (And if Nana asks, “Nana,” too.)Probably most exciting, is her progress with walking. She’s more confident and less wobbly and can generally get from point A to B without much trouble. But she still prefers to crawl around the house. I think the confined space and her clod-hopping dog encourage her to keep her center of gravity a little lower than when she’s at school.Anyhow, those are the highlights. I’ll try like heck to write again soon. I am cutting a little video together from Lola’s 2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch Pick last weekend so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some photos from 2PPP:P.S. Wow, here’s a sign of how busy it’s been...I almost forgot. Julie is 21 weeks (pregnant, of course) today and is doing very well, considering. But she could probably tell you more.
