Jules and I recently observed our 15th wedding anniversary. (You'll notice that I didn't say "celebrate" since it inconveniently fell during the last week of the spring quarter.) Although I now feel a certain ambivalence towards the supposed legitimacy a wedding confers given the denial of that recognition to all who wish to be married, it is at least a marker of our love and commitment that means a great deal to us. I'd also point out that our partnership actually observed its 20th anniversary in late April.
